The Spiritual Pug

For those of you who have a pug you will appreciate this.    I never owned a pug until about 7 years ago when my beloved bride decided she wanted one.  I had a german shepherd at the time that was about oh 9 or 10 years old.  They were the original “Odd Couple” dogs.    My Sasha ( the dog not my bride)passed away about 2 years ago, and after having been laid off from my job of almost 10 years, I am getting to spend some quality time with my pug.

Pugs are a curious breed of dog.   I believe maybe a in their past were a cross breed of a rock and a lion.    Our pug is mostly a couch potatoe  sleeps 2o hours a day.. eating and other bodily functions 1 hour a day.. and is basically ambivilent for the last 3 hours of the day.  So you are probably asking yourself ” OK so why is there a spiritual component of this ?”… glad you asked.

Pugs are like people in some respects.   We dont like to be left alone.. sometimes if we are.. we get into mischief.  We tend to be insistent when we need things we don’t have access to etc.  But unlike us, Pugs basically dont worry about too much.  They go with the flow and not too much of what is around them bothers them at all.

From a spiritual basis, we can learn a great deal from them.  We should ask our Master for the things we need.   We should do what we can to fulfill our part of what is needed, and then rely on the Master to provide what is best for us, and lastly to now worry because we know the Master is in charge and has things well in hand.
